Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach that helps children, adolescents, and adults develop meaningful skills while addressing behaviors that may interfere with independence, learning, relationships, or everyday life.At Flourish, we provide compassionate, individualized, and person-centered ABA services tailored to each individual’s age, strengths, interests, needs, and goals. For children, learning may be incorporated naturally through play and everyday interactions, while adolescents and adults may focus on communication, daily living, social, vocational, and independence skills. Our goal is to make learning relevant, engaging, and meaningful while supporting lasting progress and an improved quality of life.
Every person is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to care. ABA may be a good fit for children, adolescents, and adults who would benefit from support with communication, social and relationship skills, daily living and self-care, emotional regulation, independence, learning, community participation, or behaviors that interfere with everyday life.At Flourish Behavioral Services, we believe services should be individualized, compassionate, and centered around each person’s strengths, interests, preferences, and goals. During the assessment process, we take the time to get to know the individual and, when appropriate, their family or caregivers to determine whether ABA is the right fit.We also recognize that ABA may not be the best or only support for everyone. If another service or combination of supports would better meet an individual’s needs, we will help connect families and individuals with appropriate resources whenever possible. Our goal is not simply to provide therapy—it is to help each person receive meaningful, appropriate support that promotes independence, confidence, connection, and quality of life.
In many cases, a referral is not required to get started. However, referral requirements vary depending on your insurance plan. Some insurance providers may require a referral or prescription from your child's pediatrician or another healthcare provider before authorizing ABA services. If you're unsure what your insurance requires, don't worry—we're here to help. Our team can assist with verifying your benefits, explaining the process, and guiding you through each step so you can focus on what matters most: your child's care.
Therapy recommendations are based on a comprehensive assessment, each individual’s unique strengths and needs, personal and family goals, and medical necessity. Every treatment plan is thoughtfully personalized to provide the level and type of support that is most meaningful for each child, adolescent, or adult.
The timeline for beginning services varies depending on several factors, including insurance authorization, completion of the assessment process, and current availability. Our goal is to make the process as smooth and efficient as possible. Once all required paperwork, assessments, and insurance approvals are complete, we'll work with you to schedule services as soon as an appropriate clinical team is available.Throughout the process, we'll keep you informed every step of the way and are always happy to answer questions. We understand that seeking services can feel overwhelming, and we're committed to helping your family get started as quickly as possible while ensuring your child is matched with the right team.
Services are led by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), who is responsible for developing individualized treatment goals, overseeing the treatment plan, monitoring progress, and collaborating with the individual, family, caregivers, and other members of the support team.Direct services may be provided by a trained Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), who works one-on-one with children, adolescents, or adults under the ongoing supervision of a BCBA. Our clinical team receives ongoing training, coaching, and support to ensure services are compassionate, ethical, person-centered, and of the highest quality. At Flourish Behavioral Services, we believe meaningful outcomes are built through collaboration. Individuals receiving services are active participants in their care whenever possible, and families and caregivers are valued members of the team. Through open communication and shared decision-making, we work together toward goals that support greater independence, confidence, and quality of life.
Progress is continuously monitored through data collection, ongoing clinical observation, and regular review of individualized goals. We use this information to understand what is working, identify areas where additional support may be needed, and make thoughtful adjustments to treatment over time.As each individual grows, develops, and gains new skills, their treatment plan evolves with them. We celebrate meaningful progress along the way while ensuring services remain individualized, relevant, and aligned with the person’s changing needs and goals.
Yes. We accept private pay clients and offer a wide range of individualized services tailored to each child and family's unique needs.Private pay services offer greater flexibility than insurance-funded ABA. Unlike insurance, private pay does not require a medical diagnosis or medical necessity criteria. Because services are not limited by insurance requirements, we can collaborate with your family to create a plan that best fits your goals and priorities. If you're interested in private pay services, we'd be happy to discuss your family's needs, answer your questions, and develop a personalized plan designed to help your child thrive.
